Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  1. Articles must be original, the results of their own work, have never been published in other media, and are not in the process of being considered for publication  in other media;
  2. The theme of the article contains the results of research or ideas (conceptual) about Navigation, Shipping Engineering, Port and Sea Transportation Management, Maritime Education, Marine Environment, Logistics, Marine Transportation Management.
  3. Articles are written in Indonesian or English on A4 size paper, in 1 column format, single-spaced, using Baskerville Old Face font size 12pt;
  4. Arrangement of research articles; 
  5. Title (Title Case, bold, Baskerville Old Face font 14);
  6. Author's name;
  7. Author's Affiliation;
  8. Abstracts in 1 paragraph format and 11pt Baskerville Old Face font, 150-250 words. The abstracts contain information about background, objectives, methods, findings, and conclusions;
  9. Keywords (3-5 keywords, taken from the title or abstract);
  10. Introduction (contains background of the problem, literature review / foundation teori, and research problems / objectives);
  11. Methods (containing research types / approaches, subjects / populations / samples, data collection and analysis methods);
  12. Results;
  13. Conclusions;
  14. Bibliography (only contains references referred to or quoted);
  15. References use a direct referral system, placed in brackets, by including the author's last name, year of publication, for example: Joseph (2008) or (Joseph, 2008). In case of multiple references or more sources are written sequentially based on an earlier publication year, using the semicolom sign [;] as a separator between authors, for example: (Yusuf, 2000; Formen, 2001; Muhammad, 2002);
  16. Bibliography is arranged based on the author's last name. Bibliography is recommended tobe written using reference management application such as Mendeley. The writing format used is in accordance with the APA (American Psychological Association) format.
